LAND FAQ
Q. Where is the rental box?
A. All land parcel rental boxes are kept at the region the parcel is located in or at the Waterway* area of stand alone sims. This is done to reduce potential lag through each region that has available parcels as well as to provide a single location in-world where you can quickly and easily see which parcel are available and which are occupied. Mall rental boxes are usually located near the entry way of the store or on top of the store.
Q. Can I set my own About Land options?
A. YES, unless renting a store from the Mystic Strip Mall
Q. How will people know my store is there if i am in one of the Mystic Estates Malls?
A. *All stores are parceled to make sure your store location is searchable on its own with its own landing point and to allow the customization of your about land settings. There is nothing worse for a Merchant than to be lost among the masses of a mall and not seen in search and not have your own landmark with your own logo on it.
Q. Where do I get a prim counter so I know what my prim count is?
A. Prim counter would only be needed at the Mystic Strip Mall. Let us know if you need one. For all other locations we have designed our regions so there is no need for scripted prim counters. Each parcel will reflect your true prim count and not count prims that are for aesthetic or functional value that have already been put in place my Mystic Estates. For example any landscaping, walkways, stores etc will not reflect towards your parcel prim count. You will know your prim count by looking at "About Land" under the "Objects" tab without the need of a script.
Q. I want to pay with PayPal and my parcel is not showing on the Pay Tier Page? Why not?
A. Make sure you have selected the correct region name your parcel is located in. You should then see it, unless your parcel is less than a 4,096sqm parcel on a Full Prim region.
Q. Can I pick any land I want?
A. Yes, as long as it isn't currently occupied or reserved. Pay special attention to select the parcel you want since no refunds are given.
Q. Can I upgrade to a different size parcel?
A. Yes, once you complete the paid cycle you can simply choose to not renew your current parcel and choose another parcel. If you have paid in excess of a month in advance please contact staff for special arrangements to apply your current paid rent (less %10) towards your new parcel.
Q. Can I downgrade to a different size parcel?
A. Tier paid in advance cannot be applied to a downgrade in size of parcel. To switch to a smaller parcel simply let your current rent expire and chose the new smaller parcel.
Q. Why are there Fees for renting the wrong type of parcel and wanting to change it or for changing parcels?
A. There are typically no extra fees involved in land rental with Mystic Estates. The fees would only apply to those situations where Staff would have to actively go out and reset the rental box in the Real Estate office or take additional measures to re-calibrate your tier and parcel location. It is merely a fee to compensate staff to accommodate your request and transfer existing paid tier to a new parcel
Q. Is there a fee to rezz my boat, ship etc on the water sims?
A. No if you are renting on any of the Mystic Isle sims and are in the group then you will also have free use of all the landscape and water sims within the Mystic Continent. We do ask that you pick up your items when you are done. Repeated leaving of prims in the landscape sims will be returned with a warning, 2nd infraction will result in termination of rental.
Q. My item have been returned. Why was this?
A. There could be any number of reasons why prims were returned. The most common reasons are:
Violation of TOS and/or Covenant or if Tier was not paid or you have left prims on the landscape sims. Repeated leaving of prims in the landscape sims will be returned with a warning, 2nd infraction will result in termination of rental.
Q. I was ejected from the land group and cannot rezz my prims. Why was this?
A. There could be any number of reasons why you may have been ejected from a group. The most common reasons are: Violation of TOS and/or Covenant or if Tier was not paid.
A. For using the water sims, no there are no fees. However, we ask that you do not leave your vessel there unattended since it will most likely get returned. Instead make sure you "dock" your vessel on your own property. Repeated leaving of prims in the landscape sims will be returned with a warning, 2nd infraction will result in termination of rental.
Q. Do you regularly restart the regions?
A. Yes, all regions are restarted multiple times weekly unless there is a need for a higher frequency.
Q. Will I be able to restart the region I am in?
A. Yes, if you have paid for the whole region. No, if you have only paid for a parcel in the region. However, if you are renting a parcel and not an entire region you may submit a request to have the region you are in restarted through Tenant Support on this website.
*Waterway area: Small water entryway that flows into the body of a sim or main front of a sim facing open water.
